The Boiling Frog Syndrome: If you throw a frog into a pot of boiling water, he'll jump out. But if you place a frog into a pot of lukewarm water and slowly turn up the heat, it will boil to death. Seth writes about "The Mediocre Emergency, For years, you've been designing, making and marketing stuff in a mediocre way. No one dropped what they were doing to fix the problem.
It's not an emergency.

What's so productive about blogging?

You can find/discover ideas from the web/blogosphere and shape them into whatever or wherever they fit or makes sense. In this case, I am talking about a simple idea for businesses to interact with customers that has far-ranging implications on work and play.

A year or so ago, I wrote about momentary advantages in business. There's a new frame of reference for value creation that demands creativity, flexibility, and execution. To grasp the meaning of tags (the almighty web link) we need to understand abstact feelings. Businesses don't go there, too scary. They need fewer  MBA's and more artists.  They need to get REAL PEOPLE - FAST!

Businesses would get better ideas if they used social web tools and social media to engage employees, customers, and partners on a free flowing and unconstrained tagging basis instead of a pre-defined hierarchy of words that define the way things are or should be according to the business.

Trying to make sense of blogs

As a sole proprietor of a fledgling business, I am always looking for new ways for clients to use our services. Of course, I try to read as much as possible in the blogsphere on new sales approaches and permission marketing to improve my chances of making this business fly.
