For the last two years we've been trying to introduce businesses to new ways, Ideascape, of interacting with their customer's with little success. Most of them are in denial about how screwed up there customer services really are. Funny how managers forget that it is the customers that sustain the business.  Anyway, I snagged this article form the NY Times, below. It reflects the growing trend on the Net to democratize information and connect people. But the biggest thing now is that the Net is writeable and we all have a voice.

Open source, like the blogosphere, is a grassroots (bottom up) movement. Try not to let the grassroots lull you into believing that it is about one or two people with an idea or cause.

These two articles from Harvard reflect what we've been talking about, along with many others for the last two years. There are lessons to be learned from the open source software communities that will impact the way groups work together in organizations.

Funny! I received an email from a prospect, he runs business development for a US Corp., that suggested my site looks like a big blue ocean and was wondering if we had any connection to the authors of "Blue Ocean Strategy". My answer is no we don't.
